Week #1

Dear friends and family,

I am safe and happy! The MTC is better than I would have ever dreamed. The food is fantastic, the people are nice, and the spirit is strong all day. My companions (yes I have two because the Lord blessed us and one of the sister companions didn't show up) are the some of the best people I have ever met in my life. I love them so much and I have known them for a little less than a week. My original companions name is Hermana Ramirez, just radiates joy and energy, and our "pilon" (spanish for oops) is Hermana Lucero is the kindest, she reminds me a lot of my mom. They have the most beautiful souls I have ever had a pleasure of meeting. We have fun constantly and lift each other up in our trials (specially mine because I often have difficulty with homesickness). The MTC life is a good one, it goes a little like this... Wake up at 6:30, breakfast at 7:30, class for three hrs, lunch, gym time (not my favorite time of the day), more class for 3hrs, dinner, study time for 3hrs. Sometimes our days are interrupted by meetings, devotionals and such. So far my favorite days have been Sunday and my P-day which has turned out to be loads of fun:D We went to the Provo temple this morning and it was beautiful. I have recently decided that the MTC is like a temple... I am living in the temple:) Sunday was just full of wonderful speakers starting with Missionary conference and Devotionals and lots of study time which I love because I have time to build my knowledge (and spirit) which I learned is a strength of mine not that its very helpful because it turns out the best missionaries are the ones with the spirit not the knowledge (bummer for me). I have learned so much in just a week its hard to think that I even knew anything at all before coming here. I have made this place my home which is going to make it hard to leave on Monday:( I leave to Tennessee early Monday morning so my next letter will be from the music capital! Supper exited!:) So that's it. I took lots of pictures so check them out! Don't miss me too much. I think about you guys whenever I have time. Know that I love you and that I feel that I am where I am suppose to be.

P.S. Shout out to my mami who's birthday is on Thursday so send her lots of love and hugs for me. I love you mami, I sent you a written letter just for you:) I hope you have a happy day! Gizmo please take mom out to where ever SHE wants to go and have her watch whatever movie SHE wants to see!
